A recent IDC report predicts that the Salesforce will generate 4.2 million new employees worldwide by 2024. By 2024, the business wants to add 548,400 direct employments in India alone. The sectors with the fastest-growing demand are BFSI, manufacturing, consumer and retail, tech, high-tech, and professional services. The need for Salesforce talent and skills is increasing as the company expands. Even for those not in IT, there are numerous employment options.  

Salesforce is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software as a service (SaaS) platform that offers comprehensive and reliable solutions. Additionally, it serves as a platform for users and developers to create and share original software. With almost 20% of the market share for CRM software, Salesforce rules the industry.  

India has already started a journey that will turn every firm into a digital enterprise due to rapid technology disruption. The exceptional COVID-19 outbreak has further sped its growth and made it urgent to use technology even more. Companies throughout the nation are speeding up technology adoption to keep up with fast-changing customer demands and new remote working methods.

    Salesforce Administrator 

    • You have a crucial duty as a Salesforce Administrator / Admin to appropriately set up the Customer Org, their roles/responsibilities, and Hierarchy. You may regulate the panels’ visibility and specify which login user should have access to what kind of data, among other things—setting up any outbound/inbound communication channels, administering and setting up dashboards, reporting, etc.  
    • Today, most programs also include a “DevOps” role responsible for managing and establishing the procedures for deploying data into higher environments, checking out work from various teams, and moving packages to environments like Integration environments (CIT, SIT), UAT, Pre-Prod, and Production. 

    Salesforce Developer 

    • You are required to be able to use Apex, flow, triggers, OOTB setups, process builder, LWCs, and other tools to create and adapt the application to meet the needs of the client. One of the most in-demand skills in the Salesforce industry is a Developer.   
    • Salesforce developers are programmers who create Salesforce applications on different PAAS systems. 

      Functional Consultant

      Tech Specialist 

      The position of the tech specialist is crucial because it allows us to support the best practices recommended at the process level by having a deeper grasp of how the technology functions. A few examples of specialized technical responsibilities in Salesforce include managing and being an expert in the Integration area, being outstanding at LWCs, managing the CPQ EPC (product catalogue side of things), etc. 

      Business Analyst 

      A business analyst is responsible for all of the requirement elicitation, requirement elicitation, requirement elicitation, requirement elicitation, interaction with various client user groups, business requirement document (BRD) creation, and process capture (BA). 

      Salesforce Architect 

      An architect plays a crucial role in tying together all the requirements from various projects and offering the best strategy for each set of criteria. To develop an overarching strategy for how the requirements will be technically developed and delivered, the Salesforce Architect is responsible for obtaining technical and functional information from each track tech specialist, BAs, and available consultants. They are the prominent members of the application in the event of technological difficulties. 


      Similar to the functional consultant role, but with designers having a larger extra obligation to be able to assess how Salesforce might fit in the whole program environment. Designers collaborate across streams and systems. They would develop the overall system level design—a functional design—that addresses every aspect of the program, including interconnected systems, any inbound or outbound communications, APIs, user interaction patterns, and how all the platforms and technologies are integrated into the overall scheme. 

      UX Designer

      Program Architect/Enterprise Architect 

      On particularly large-scale implementations, the function of the enterprise architect or program architect is vital because they are in charge of the technical and commercial planning of all interdependent systems. 

      An enterprise architect collaborates with the representatives (PMs/Architects) from every platform/team (including salesforce teams), as well as with the stakeholders and business users, to understand their needs and challenges and to assess the viability and compatibility of the underlying systems and requirements. 

      Program Manager 

      In this hierarchy, a program manager is positioned at the top. Similar to the Enterprise Architect/Program Architect function, this role spans all teams and oversees managing the customer teams, vendor teams, delivery teams, testing teams, etc. on a general program delivery level. 

      Program managers are in charge of overseeing team delivery, managing timelines for program milestones, and ensuring that the program’s objective is met. Interactions with customers and other stakeholders are managed, as are the risks to the program and its budget as well as reporting to the steering committee and sponsors.

      Regarding compensation, the average Salesforce salary ranges from roughly $47,348 for a Business Development Representative to $194,251 for a Director of Quality.
